HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 – Column PA With a 15" Low End

The POLAR 15 MK2 is the biggest system in HK Audio's MK2 column family: the same mixer, DSP and 2000 W peak Class-D amp as the POLAR 12 MK2, sitting on a 15" bass-reflex subwoofer. That larger sub moves more air at the same level, so the system reaches its limiter later and stays clean when a DJ set or a full band pushes it. At Soundium we see it as the column for mobile DJs and bands who outgrew a 12" sub but still want a one-person, three-piece setup.

Customer Benefits

A 15" subwoofer is the difference between bass you hear and bass you feel. On the POLAR 15 MK2 that extra cone area means less excursion for the same output, so kick drums stay tight and the limiter stays out of the way in a packed room. Setup is the familiar POLAR routine: sub, spacer, column, plug in and pick a preset. The M20 FlexMount lets you put a light bar straight on top of the sub, which saves a stand and floor space behind the decks. The trade-off is weight: at 38.1 kg the full system is close to 10 kg heavier than the POLAR 12 MK2, and the sub alone is 30.5 kg.
