Volt 4 Gen 2 Recording Set – A Quiet Condenser for a Studio That Grows

Two Tone Shaping Preamps, MIDI and ADAT on the interface; a 4 dBA condenser that arrives with its own shock mount, pop filter and cable; closed headphones for tracking next to the mic. Stand included, in Black or White for the NT1.

In This Setup

  • Universal Audio Volt 4 Gen 2 – 12-in/6-out USB-C interface with two Tone Shaping Preamps (60 dB gain), Smart Display with Auto-Gain, ADAT/S/PDIF input, MIDI In/Out and a USB hub; bus-powered.
  • Rode NT1 Signature Series – 1-inch HF6 condenser capsule with 4 dBA self-noise and 142 dB max SPL; SM6 shock mount with detachable pop filter and an XLR cable in the box.
  • Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X – closed-back STELLAR.45 headphones at 48 ohms, so they run loud from an interface; detachable mini-XLR cable, made in Germany.
  • K&M 210/2 – the classic boom stand: 90-160.5 cm height, 80 cm boom arm and folding legs.

Why This Combination

  • Ready out of the box: the NT1 brings its shock mount, pop filter and XLR cable; the K&M holds it.
  • Room to grow: add a synth on MIDI or 8 more mics later over ADAT.
