Hollyland Pyro Ultra, Pyro 5 4K and Astra P1: 4K wireless video, a monitor that transmits, and a camera that films itself

TL;DR: Three new Hollyland video tools join Soundium. Pyro Ultra is the new flagship wireless video link: 4K60 over HDMI, about 20 ms in Focus Mode and up to 1.5 km of range, sold as a 1TX+1RX kit (1319 €), a 1TX+2RX kit (1909 €) and as single transmitter (779 €) or receiver (649 €). Pyro 5 4K folds a 1500-nit monitor, transmitter and receiver into one 499 € unit. Astra P1 is Hollyland's first 4K PTZ camera, with 30x optical zoom, AI tracking and NDI|HX3 (2229 €).

Introduction

Most of what we sell from Hollyland goes into the audio side of a shoot: Lark mics, Solidcom intercoms. The Pyro range is the picture side, and this batch fills it out at both ends. Pyro Ultra is the system a working crew builds a set around. Pyro 5 4K is the one a solo shooter can carry in a jacket pocket. And Astra P1 takes Hollyland somewhere new: a ceiling-mounted camera that films a stage on its own.

Here's what each one does, and where it stops.

The Lineup

Wireless Video System

Hollyland Pyro Ultra 1TX+1RX

True 4K60 over HDMI at 12 Mbps, with Focus Mode dropping latency to about 20 ms at 1080p25/30, which is quick enough to pull focus off the monitor with confidence. Range is up to 1.5 km line of sight. Flip to Broadcast Mode and one transmitter feeds as many receivers as the set needs (stable up to 20, at up to 700 m). Both units carry HDMI and 3G-SDI, and the receiver streams straight to a computer as 4K60 UVC or to a platform as 1080p60 RTMP, no capture card needed. The trade-off: SDI tops out at 1080p, so 4K60 is HDMI only, and batteries aren't in the box. 1319 €, in stock at our supplier, 1 to 2 weeks to your door.

Wireless Video System

Hollyland Pyro Ultra 1TX+2RX, plus single units

The same system with a second receiver in the case, so the focus puller and the director each get their own feed from day one. If you already own a kit, the Pyro Ultra Receiver (649 €, in stock at our supplier) adds another monitor, a client screen or a live stream, and the Pyro Ultra Transmitter (779 €) adds a second camera or a spare. Same caveats as above: no batteries, SDI at 1080p. The 1TX+2RX kit is 1909 €; it and the single transmitter are on pre-order, expected November 2026.

Video Monitor

Hollyland Pyro 5 4K

A 5.5-inch, 1500-nit touchscreen that switches between transmitter and receiver. Put one on the camera, hand another to the director, and you have a wireless monitoring kit made of two identical boxes. It sends up to 4K30 from HDMI or 1080p60 from SDI, reaches up to 400 m from 60 ms, and brings waveform, vectorscope, false colour, focus assist and custom LUTs along. It also records proxies to SD or USB and controls ISO, aperture, shutter and white balance on selected Sony, Canon and Nikon bodies. The trade-off: in receiver mode the HDMI output stops at 1080p, and there's no battery included. 499 €; our supplier is restocking, so ask us for the current ETA.

Streaming PTZ Camera

Hollyland Astra P1

A 4K60 pan-tilt-zoom camera for churches, lecture halls, conference rooms and multi-camera studios. A 1/1.8-inch sensor and a 30x optical zoom (7.1 to 210 mm) cover a wide stage and a tight close-up from the back of the room, and AI tracking follows a presenter or a defined zone like a podium or whiteboard. HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB and IP run at the same time, with NDI|HX3, RTSP, RTMP(S) and SRT built in, and PoE+ carries video, control and power over one cable. Up to 255 presets keep repeat shows quick. The trade-off: PoE+ needs a compatible switch or injector, and SDI is limited to 1080p60. 2229 €, in stock at our supplier, 1 to 2 weeks.

Who They're For

Pyro Ultra for film, commercial and event crews that need a clean 4K picture at several monitors at once. Pyro 5 4K for solo shooters and small crews who want one box that monitors, transmits and receives. Astra P1 for venues that stream every week and don't want to staff a camera position to do it.

Who should look elsewhere: anyone who needs 4K over SDI (all three stop at 1080p on SDI), and Pyro 5 users who need 4K out of the receiving unit.

Final Thoughts

Pyro Ultra is the one that matters most here: it brings real 4K60 and a proper focus-pulling latency to a system that still scales to a whole video village. Pyro 5 4K is the clever budget move, and Astra P1 is a sign Hollyland wants to be in the room even when there's no crew in it.

Still Unsure?

Ask us. We'll help you work out how many receivers your set really needs, or whether two Pyro 5 4K units would do the job. Everything else that just landed is in New Arrivals. See you at Soundium.
