Hollyland Lark M3: A Wireless Mic Kit That Grows to Four Voices and Four Receivers

Most wireless mic kits stop at two voices and one receiver. Hollyland's Lark M3 is built around the question that comes right after that: what happens when a third person sits down, or a second camera starts rolling?

The answer is a system rather than a kit. One receiver takes up to four transmitters, one transmitter feeds up to four receivers, and you can add or drop units mid-shoot without stopping the recording. It ships in four combos from €99, and the entry kit costs the same as the Lark M2S USB-C Combo it sits next to in our catalog. The difference is headroom: 32-bit float output instead of 24-bit, AI noise cancellation instead of basic ENC, and a path to four mics on one phone.

What the Lark M3 does differently

  • Up to 4 TX and 4 RX. Camera and USB-C receivers mix freely. With several receivers connected, one becomes the primary that controls gain, mute and noise cancellation; the others just monitor. If the primary drops, another takes over by itself.
  • 48 kHz / 32-bit float output. More room to rescue a shout or a whisper in post. The catch: 32-bit float works on Apple devices through third-party recording apps; Android stays at 24-bit.
  • AI noise cancellation with three levels. 10, 15 or 20 dB of reduction for wind, traffic and air-conditioning hum.
  • Eight vocal presets, one per transmitter. Each of up to four mics can run its own preset, fine-tuned in the HollyAudio app, with one-tap de-essing.
  • Four isolated tracks. Via the hot shoe adapter (sold separately), or by plugging a receiver into a computer over USB-C and recording in third-party software.
  • 9 g magnetic transmitters. Button-sized, 300 m range line of sight, Auto-Limit clip protection for sudden peaks.

Real-World Reactions

"It looks like a solid follow-up to a popular series that adds more sophistication while staying reliable for basic needs."

No Film School, launch coverage

Launch coverage so far is spec-level; hands-on reviews are still coming in. We'll add our own notes once units land.

Who it's for

Get the 2TX + 1RX if you film two people on a phone or laptop and want the newer audio path for the same money as an M2S.

Get the 2TX + 2RX if the same two voices need to reach a camera and a phone at once, for example a main camera plus a vertical cut for social.

Get the 4TX + 2RX for podcasts, panels and group interviews. The 2TX + 4RX is the niche one: two speakers, up to four phones or tablets recording in parallel.

Look elsewhere if you need onboard recording in the transmitters as a safety net or timecode for multi-camera sync. That's still Lark Max 2 territory.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros: scales from two mics to a four-person, four-receiver setup; 32-bit float and adjustable AI noise cancellation at an entry price; tiny magnetic transmitters.

⚠️ Cons: 32-bit float is Apple-only; noise cancellation roughly halves transmitter runtime; the hot shoe adapter for four tracks on camera costs extra.
